Amanda & Kris chose the summer solstice, June the 21st, for their organic wedding in Monemvasia, Greece.
The summer solstice, derived from Latin words sol (“sun”) and sister (“to stand still”), is the longest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere, while the daylight lasts over 15 hours! This astronomical event has been associated with love and fertility.
The wedding celebration took place at the historical old mansion of the Kinsterna hotel. This amazing old structure was built during the 17th century, close to the picturesque Castle of Monemvasia and was completely renovated with great respect to its architectural history.
Organic delicate details with local inspirations. The flowers used were eucalyptus, olive branches, pepper leaves, peonies, purple & white lysianthos, succulents, bombastic & lase roses, lavender. Nature at its best!
Many talented vendors participated making the impossible happen for this organic wedding in Monemvasia. After all, great teams create dreamy weddings!
